Hola!

Before I get our entire week laid out, I wanted to share a bit of my weekend with you. Meet Wallace, my new deer.

Good times at the Isakson house.

Here’s your week:

Monday: We’ll be introducing the Expository Essay today. I’ll post all kinds of resources tonight, but today is just a fun day. We’ll be making PB&J sandwiches and working on using transition words like: first, next, then, finally. I know that it sounds somewhat basic, but the reminder is totally necessary.

Homework: If you don’t finish revising your paragraph explaining how to make a PB&J in class, it is homework. I’ll be collecting them tomorrow.

Tuesday: First, we’ll be reviewing the basic structure of an expository essay, then moving into our first in-class expository prompt. Our time will be spent working primarily with crafting an outline that isn’t terrible.

Homework: Finish making your outline!

Wednesday: We’ll spend our Wednesday crafting our first in-class expository essay after a review of the HSPE writing rubric.

Thursday: I’m not entirely sure what all of Thursday will look like. We’ll be spending part of the period prepping for the second expository essay by making some outlines that are not terrible, but the first half of the period is still up in the air.

Homework: Finish making your outline! (That seemed repetitive).

Friday: Good times at Terrace High! We’ll be in the LibLab crafting expository essay #2.
